Although Lucy Rose Publishing accepts manuscripts for review and consideration throughout the year, we will only publish two (1) books per month for a total of 12 new releases per year. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: Below are some of the more frequently asked questions regarding publishing with Lucy Rose Publishing. If you have a question and it is not listed on this page please email us at: acquisitions@lucyrosepublishing.com. Q. Do I need an agent? A. No, you do not need to be represented by an agent. We accept manuscripts directly from the author. If you have already contracted an agent, please have your agent contact us regarding your work. Q. Who retains the copyright to my book? A. As the author you would retain the copyright to your book. You should register your manuscript with the Library of Congress. Q. How long before I know if my manuscript has been accepted? A. You should allow 6 to 8 weeks for us to contact you in regards to your manuscript. If your manuscript is accepted you will receive a phone call from our Acquisitions Department. If we decide not to offer you a publishing contract with us, you will be notified by mail. Q. How long does it take before my novel is printed and available to the public? A. The publishing process generally takes between six months to a year. The process could however take longer because we will only release two (2) new titles each month. Q. Will I receive royalties? A. Yes, royalty information is discussed in our contract and is private and confidential information that is not available to the general public. Q. What will be the price of my book? A. The publishing company sets the price of the novels based on industry standards. |
